Hyperbaric oxygen therapy no longer requires a long drive out of town. With the opening of AnMed Health Wound and Hyperbaric Medicine, Upstate residents can get this high dose oxygen therapy closer to home.

Wound and Hyperbaric Medicine is the first to offer hyperbaric oxygen therapy in Anderson. This treatment was originally used to help divers recover from "the bends," but today it's used to treat bone infections, tissue damage from radiation and problem wounds.

Wound and Hyperbaric Medicine consolidates wound and foot care services in one location. The 3,500-square-foot, state-of-the-art clinic is located on the second floor of the Cancer Center and is equipped with two hyperbaric oxygen chambers and five exam/procedure rooms for outpatient, professional wound care services. Foot care previously provided at the Medical Center is now offered at Wound and Hyperbaric Medicine.
